Welcome to another Mini Quilt Monday - I made this little bear claw mini from some Denyse Schmidt scraps this weekend. I love that I can use tiny little bits of scraps and make them into such pretty things. I also love trying out blocks that are new to me in mini's - no pressure if I decide I don't want to make 80 more!
Since this block is so traditional I added some asymmetrical quilting to add a little interest. I found the measurements for this block in 500 Quilt Blocks and I added a couple of borders to make it mini quilt sized - it finished at 19" square.
Here it is in it's new home! We have this built in cabinet in the living room thats turned out to be the perfect place to display my smaller mini's and I love changing it up frequently.
So the other thought for today is sharing photos in a link-up when you don't have a blog - I was thinking about how people who are mainly active on Instagram could share online without a blog or flickr account to link to and I think I've figured it out. If you go to your Instagram account online - here's mine - you can choose to use the URL from any photo in your account to add to the link-up! I'm going to add one in the link-up to demonstrate but I hope this will make it easier for IG users to share their work here :-)
Happy to have finished mini quilts, mini quilts in progress, pillows, mug rugs - any small project!
Thanks again for stopping by!
