Finish It Up Friday :: Memorial Day Basket

It's another hour basket! I hope you're not sick of seeing them yet because I'm surely not sick of making them! I found this vintage barkcloth at my Mom's and she was kind enough to tell me to take it home with me and I've been pondering what to make with it. The pressure of picking the RIGHT project with a fabric I know I'll never get again is immense. So I went with something I knew would only use a little and turn out adorable.

And since I apparently live in a cave I took a few outdoor photos too. I used a heavyweight denim for the bottom and lined this one with canvas - I like the weight the canvas adds and the fact that it doesn't change the texture of the fabrics.

I found the bandana fabric at Hancock's - score. Now I feel like I've done this fabric justice and I'm ready for the holiday weekend! Hope yours is relaxing and fun, the way kicking off summer should be :-) Thanks for stopping by!
