I read a lot of blogs. I love seeing projects - what works and what didn't - and product reviews. The blogs I really track closely are those where I feel a connection to the writer. None of it has to be fancy. Content is more important to me.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric! I like blogs because it helps expand my eye and shows me so many different things that I like... like I never knew how much I liked "scrappy" quilts until people started posting scrappy trip alongs. Now I can't get enough of ALL scrappy quilts.
ReplyDeleteI follow via feedly.

ReplyDeleteInspiration and tutorials keep me coming back.
ReplyDeleteTutorials always keep me coming back... Finished projects too. Thanks for this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love tutorials, getting to know the writer, and inspiration. I am following you now thru RSS Feedly. One thing that I really love is when bloggers choose not to truncate their posts for RSS readers and on their blog as well. Honestly, a lot of the time, if I can only see one photo and a paragraph of text, then I have to click through to the website to finish the post, a lot of times, I will just keep going down my reading list. Reading posts in my Feedly feed is just faster & easier when I have a limited amount of time online.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! I like seeing in progress posts and lots of pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway. What keeps me coming back is good pictures :)
ReplyDeleteI love when bloggers show their recent fabric purchases. Maybe they found something amazing from a shop I haven't heard about and need to get myself. I also love tutorials and lots of pictures! Thanks for the generous giveaway!!!

ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness! A FQ SET? You are very generous. I love visiting blogs with great photography and humour. Not so much tutorials for some reason. I just love seeing pretty things people make and hearing their "voice"
ReplyDeleteWow! I love seeing pictures of fabric stacks then what you make with them! Thanks for the chance to win! :)
ReplyDeleteI like blogs with lots of tutorials.
ReplyDeleteI follow on GFC. I like tutorials, book reviews, fabric stacks and sharing quilting experience, even if a project is a failure.
ReplyDeleteI really love seeing little glimpses of who the writer is as a person, outside of sewing and quilting. I like blogs that keep it real, because we all know it's easy to pretend, but it's much harder to be open about challenges and dirty houses and the laundry you aren't doing because you'd rather be sewing! :)
ReplyDeleteI love blogs that have good photos that are clear to see the crafty items photographed, blogs that are written in a personal style with the blogger's humour, interesting tutorials and of course, who doesn't like a giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower through GFC. Thanks for the generous giveaway! I think my favorite thing that keeps me coming back to blogs would be the inspiration. I like to see how people use color, and if they have tips and tricks about something they've done and will share, I appreciate that, too.

Wow! This is a wonderful giveaway! THank you!!! I follow your blog! atabanana29(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI like bloggers who offer a nice mix of personal and "professional" (meaning sewing-related) stuff. I love the way Rachel at Stitched in Color does this, so even though I've stopped reading a lot of blogs I used to follow, I still keep up with hers.
ReplyDeleteI think what keeps me coming back to a blog is often the story or reason behind a certain project. I think it also has to do with similar taste in fabric or design.
ReplyDeleteI come back to blogs for inspiration: love to see photos of wips, tutorials and reviews...
ReplyDeleteI follow you through bloglovin (love the iphone app).

ReplyDeletei return to blogs if there is a tute or a recipe that I love and make over and over
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, the thing that makes me follow a blog is a "follow" button. If there is a bloglovin button just out in the open and all I have to do is click it, BAM! I'm there!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures help. Also an entertaining and upbeat "voice" makes me keep it in my feedly list. (I just added you by the way) Thanks for the chance.

ReplyDeleteI think a mix of all those things are good for a blog. For me it's about balance. If there's too much personal stuff I lose interest. However it is important to keep things real by incorporating your own personality and voice.
